An Interview with Dr. Cris Azzola, ND

My podcast guest this week is Dr. Cris Azzola, ND. Dr. Cris is a licensed naturopathic doctor in San Francisco, CA, and is a descendant from a long line of physicians who believed in balancing conventional medicine with natural healing techniques. From early childhood, she was inspired by her family’s dedication to helping others and became curious about the natural remedies her family used to stay healthy, always wondering “how grandma’s stuff worked”. That’s why she decided to go the naturopathic route instead of the traditional MD route.

Cris specializes in helping people prevent and treat chronic conditions, including stress and burnout, and re-optimize their health. We had a great conversation about the different types of conditions and complaints that she has been treating during Covid and before. I really liked the way that she supports each person she sees as the unique person they are tries to make their healing journey as engaging as possible.

Another area we talked about was food and how important healthy food is to keeping us strong. She suggested looking at the book The World’s Healthiest Foods by George Mateljan if anyone is specifically interested in learning more about different foods. Per Cris’ recommendation, the book provides a great index and helps us identify foods high in specific nutrients and other details. The Book can be bought on Amazon here  or on his website at World’s Healthiest Foods. If you want to get in touch with Cris for more information about her naturopathic practice you can go to her website at www.DrAzzola.com or email her directly at Contact@DrAzzola.com
