Everyone, but especially those of us over 50, is trying to find out how to improve our memories and our focus. And there are a lot of people and places looking at that subject. I was interested to find 2 newsletters with articles about it on their front pages this month.

One of them explained the 3 phases of memory – encoding, storage, and retrieval. The other newsletter gave an explanation of and suggestions about how to improve focus and concentration which results in better memory recall. As with so much else in life, it all works better to be calm, attentive to one thing at a time, and to add feeling to the memories as we create them.

There are also some other specific suggestions for increasing your focus and improving your memory. I learned a lot from both of these articles and I’m sure you will too! Enjoy!
