Which Is Healthier For You?

Alternative types of milks.

It all depends on what you’re looking for. If you have cow milk or soy allergies then the answer is pretty obvious – whichever milk you don’t have an allergy to.

The only thing you should look at in the plant based milks is the sugar content to make sure that it doesn’t have a high total sugar content.

This can happen when the manufacturer adds additional sugar to satisfy the sweet tooth of the American public. I buy “unsweetened” milk and I would suggest you

do that too.

My personal favorite plant based milk is coconut milk and my second choice is soy milk. But you can try them out and see what you like. Or you can stay with cow’s milk as there are really no studies that show any downside to it (unless you’re allergic to it like I am).

As an added Tip I included a newly (Dec 2019) published rating report of airline food and water by the DietDetective.com website. They looked at 11 domestic airlines and rated them all from 0 to 5 with 5 being the best. The water study looked at 10 major and 13 regional airlines. No more coffee or tea onboard for me.

Let me know what kind of milk you like in your cereal, coffee, or tea.
