Rewriting Our Stories

Dr. Charles Lee is a renowned doctor with over 40 years of experience. He is a surgeon specializing in plastic surgery and based in Malaysia. Charles finds joy in helping patients transform their appearance and boost their confidence. He received training from three royal colleges of surgeons in the United Kingdom and developed hhis passion for reconstructive surgery while working with children born with cleft problems. Seeing the long-term impact of his work on his patients, even after 25 years, brings him immense satisfaction and makes him feel youthful. He does admit though, that despite his career in medicine, he tends to neglect his own health. Charles also has a book available to purchase – “Mindflow Ergonomics”.

Below are the two key takeaways from my conversation with Charles:

1. Embrace Failure and Rewrite Your Story: The podcast emphasizes the importance of acknowledging and accepting failure, both in our personal and professional lives. By being open and vulnerable, we can rewrite our life’s chapters and redefine failure as an opportunity for growth and learning.

2. Mind Flow and Creativity: The concept of “mind flow”, highlighting the importance of constant growth, learning, and creativity. Being in a state of mind flow allows us to tap into different areas of our brain, generate innovative ideas, and navigate the challenges of life more effectively.

Charles is currently writing his memoir “I See You”, has a YouTube Channel – HEARTtalk with Dr Charles Lee, on LinkedIn at and at his website –
